Summary

The Cult of the Dark One was formed by an explorer who stumbled upon an ancient temple. Within the heart of the temple was a demon-like beast who could not wander out of the room he was in. The beast, known as Marrek's Apparition, put the man under his control and ordered him to form a cult for worship. The man did and it became known as "The Cult of the Dark One". It was dissoluted when the man's grandson was killed in a sword duel with Ichabad Mortem. The beast was also fell to Ichabad's blade shortly after.
